Miss Millie is a 6 year old female who recently joined our program after being surrendered. She had spent her whole life with one family, other than about 10 months she was boarded at our Vice President’s home several years ago. Her family moved into an apartment earlier this year and Millie no longer had access to the outdoors. With a toddler at home, and no ability to do the vital things piggies need to do to be happy and healthy, she began to act out on occasion. After snapping at her human brother, her owner contacted us to relinquish ownership and place her into our foster program. This is not something KCPRN often does. Owner surrenders are not usually possible for us, as we focus primarily on abuse/neglect, hoarding and stray animal cases. However we had a relationship with this pig and wanted desperately to see her get the life she deserves, and we made room for her to come home. She had a very difficult transition, confused and devastated, but she is making friends now and doing better. Millie is looking for a forever home with a family who can provide a proper environment for her. She is a beautiful babe, and she deserves another shot at happiness.
