Rosa and Lupe are recent intakes, from the NKC area. Over the course of 10 days, we were told 38 calls had been placed to KC animal control, regarding two stray pigs roaming public parks, getting into trash, and running off into the nearby woods. Knowing animal control is currently vastly understaffed, and not able to respond to stray calls for any animals, especially pigs – we decided to step in. After many hours and a lot of trickery, we we able to load these girls up to serve their legal stray hold. They have completed that hold and we were not contacted by their owners. They are now fosters in our program and will be spayed in the near future. Lupe’s icy blue eyes are so beautiful, and they look much more relaxed now that she is not running for her life and fighting to survive. Welcome home sweetheart.
