Teeny little Cricket shares a familiar story – with so many Yorkshire breed babies. She was being transported on a livestock semi truck from the facility she was born at, to the facility she would be held until she met market weight around 6 months of age, and then sent to slaughter. Instead, she fell through a hole on that truck, tumbled down the interstate at just a couple weeks old, and somehow┬ásurvived. She is one of 3 piglets with the exact same story we brought into KCPRN in September of ’19. We unfortunately had to turn away many more. She suffered significant road rash and bruising but no broken bones. When she is old enough and strong enough, she will be spayed and available for adoption to a pet only home. (Yorkshire pigs grow to be 800+ lbs)
