Mama Cookie came to us in November of 2017, pregnant and with her 3 daughters who were also pregnant. They were only a few days from deliveries all of their babies and very stressed. We anticipated that Cookie would be an excellent mom, because she was the only one of the group who had piglets before. We were surprised to find out that it was not the case – Cookie very much struggled with this litter. Two of her daughters had their litters earlier in the same week, and perhaps that had something to do with her struggle. She was protective of the new piglets but more protective of her older daughters. This family had a very strong bond and she and her daughter Annie remain inseparable. Cookie and Annie were adopted together (with a farm breed named Frankie) but returned this year, when their owners went through a divorce. Cookie and Annie are looking for a forever home, where they can remain together forever.
